Becker, affectionately known as BB, was a standout college player at Baylor University from 2002-2005. After graduating, BB began his pro career playing futures and challengers. Just 18 months later, Benjamin Becker is a household name in the tennis world and was recently named Sportsman of the year in his part of Germany. His ranking is currently at a career-high 49, and he is looking to improve that with a strong performance during the upcoming Australian summer circuit.

Becker first turned heads this year at Wimbledon where he qualified and defeated Juan Ignacio Chela in the first round. However, it was at the 2006 US Open where BB gained instant international fame. After qualifying and winning his first two rounds over top 50 players Volandri and Grosjean, Becker played the match of his life in front of 24,000 fans on Arthur Ashe Court at the US Open as he ended the legendary career of Andre Agassi. BB's ability to maintain his composure with such a dramatic setting helped win him the match, but his display of graciousness following the match won over the hearts of millions watching worldwide

Humble, gracious, intelligent, and determined, BB is on the way to the top of men's tennis.

"I've won many matches and became number one at the university level in America besides holding most of my school's records in tennis. I am forever grateful to Baylor coach Matt Knoll for giving me this opportunity to play for such a great tennis program. I moved ahead in my career to play professional tennis. After the NCAA tournaments, I traveled to Florida and met Tarik. I was impressed with his accomplishments not only as a player on tour, but with his work ethics, dedication, passion, and the champions he has developed. I am very excited about having a great coach like Tarik and his staff work with me. It adds to my confidence level and will prepare me for those long hard matches."
